Welcome my blog, Fresh-Season.com!

My name is Leanne and I am a 25 year old blogger living in Ottawa, Canada. When I’m not blogging on Fresh-Season, tweeting, or watching the Jersey Shore {until my brain turns into mush}, you can find me slaving over a research paper with a coffee {or well, sometimes a redbull} in hand. Oh the life of a grad student! So yes, I am also a graduate student and I’ll admit, I love learning! I enjoy political science/international relations. My research interests include conflicts in the post-Soviet space {particularly the Chechen conflict} and peace settlements {primarily in Northern Ireland}. I predict that in a few months, I will be one of those graduates: well educated and eager to learn, but unemployed and broke. Ahh, life.

After a long day of classes, research, and writing, I like to wind down with my fiance, Ken, and our boxer pup, Pepper. In addition to blogging on Fresh-Season.com, I love to cook and travel. Thus far, I’ve been to Florida, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, the Republic of Ireland, Austria, Slovakia, Latvia, and most recently, Russia.
